MMI Video Converter

Turn a video you own into a file your Audi MMI 3G+ can play from an SD card.

Your file is not kept. It is uploaded to our server only to be converted. Your original is deleted the moment conversion ends, and the converted file is deleted as soon as you download it (or after about an hour if you don’t). Nothing is stored in your browser. See the Privacy Policy.
1. Choose your video
2. Choose a format

Need more than 1 GB?

Download the desktop version for Windows. It uses the same formats, runs entirely on your own computer (nothing is uploaded) and has no size or length limit. Videos longer than 3 hours are split into parts so each file fits on a FAT32 SD card.

Download for Windows

Free zip, about 25 KB. On first run it offers to download FFmpeg (about 90 MB) from gyan.dev. Windows may show a SmartScreen warning because the tool isn’t code-signed; the script is plain text you can read first.

Playing it in the car

  1. Copy the downloaded file to an SD card formatted as FAT or FAT32.
  2. Insert the card into the MMI and open the Media menu. Choose the SD card and browse to the file (menu wording varies by model year and MMI version).
  3. If the file is ignored or only plays sound, convert it again with the next format above.

Video only plays while the car is stationary. Whether your car plays video from the SD card at all depends on its equipment and software; this tool can only prepare the file. Formats are based on commonly reported MMI limits, and we can’t test every vehicle.
